A new hire may need a single fact today and an end-to-end walkthrough tomorrow. The same approved knowledge should support both. Guidance should show its source, indicate whether it is current, and make it easy to ask for help when the process does not match the situation.
That combination makes onboarding more self-directed while preserving the human judgment needed for exceptions.
